What to Wear???

Image
As all of you know I'm expecting my baby boy in January, but lately have had the hardest time fitting into my clothes (which I'm really not all that excited about). Mainly because I have such a great closest, so the fact that for the next 4 months I can't wear a single outfit, well that just kills me. However, I've taken this new body of mine and found some very exciting outfits that I'm going to be adding to my collection. Courtesy of Isabella Oliver Great Tank with the option of this sweater is perfect for the weather here. Same goes for this tank, skinny jean, and sweater combo. These shorts are perfect for the hot days we get here. No matter what the stage in your pregnancy, there are many options out there from so many different places. It's always best to try things on because the sizes can rang from designer. Babies r Us had some really cute things for fall that mother's would love, as well as Pea in a Pod. Here's to happy hunting for a...

New Beginnings

After a gruesome week of getting records, meetings with counselors, and numerous drives to Monte Vista High, my lovely step-daughters are officially enrolled into their new school here in California. Both are extremely excited for this new journey their about to set forth on, but are ready to go. This weekend is going to be packed with fun activities to get them ready for their new year. School shopping is at the top of the list for Megan, as Lauren has already completed her decisions online. Courtesy of Urban Outfitters, Gap, Macy's, and Forever 21. I must say she is going to be one amazing looking senior with her getups she has picked out, which rounds out her new look for her new beginning here. We're not really sure what's on Megan's mind in terms of her choices, but knowing her she will be just as stylish as ever. On other news in the Harvey/Fisher household, our little peanut is growing as expected, and I'm not sure the pains from it are that welcome, but ...

What is wrong with you, Cananda???

I stumbled across a very disturbing article today from OTTAWA, AFP. Apparently there are products that use Harp Seals for their profitability, however, with the lack of sea ice along the Atlantic Coast, the hunt has been extended until May 31st, so those who did hunt have a better chance. There is also a ban from the European Government, which also led to many hunters staying home. They should have stayed home to become more in tune with their moral compasses. What upsets me is the simple fact that people actually kill living animals to make a product for wealth. Friends and New Faces

Today has been a day of smiles, sunshine, and good times. Had the lovely invitation to join my friends Denise, and Lenny for lunch, but also had the pleasure to add a new acquaintance to my life, and her name is Megan Gordon. Megan writes a fabulous food blog names "A Sweet Spoonful". Her recipes are tasty and delectable, and I could go on and on. As I work on getting my food blog up and running, I am excited to add a new blog to watch, to my list of already fabulous ones. Chezus.com, another food website that has great recipes as well as stories to smile about, was named one of the top five food blogs to watch in San Francisco. I guess you could say I'm both blessed and fortunate to have such talented friends who definitely know how to keep my belly growing.

World's Largest Bunny

Image
I would like everyone to meet Darius.  He is the world's largest bunny, and is insured for $1.6 million dollars. Yes, that's right, I said millions. Darius weighs in at a whopping 50 lbs., and is 4'3" in length from his head to tail. All I want to know is this; where can I get one, and does he come with instructions.

Summer Jumper Trends

Image
Yes, you can go ahead and get excited because Spring/Summer weather is finally here. Time to get out all your fabulous shorts, skirts, and sun dresses. Also, time to put away the bulky sweaters that have been piling up on your bedroom floor. Along with all the summer clothing you usually have, a hot new trend for the season is the "Jumper", and here are a few to noodle on that will make you look fashion forward and fabulous! Let's get started: Here is a great option for a night out, or also just a cocktail party at your friends house. This is great for a summer beach party/BBQ, or just great for lunch with the girlfriends. Courtesy of: Karl Lagerfeld S/S 2010 Collection. ********************* The next is my personal favorite. It is both elegant, and seductive. I have to get my hands o...

Meteor Soars through Midwest

Apparently, there was a Meteor striking in the Midwest on Wednesday, which in the article, has said to have blocked out the sun momentarily. Being from the Midwest, I find that this is probably one of the most exciting events to happen there in some time. However, being that the Midwest is commonly referred to as the "Bible Belt", it has probably made some Christians a little weary and wondering if it was the beginning of the end. Not to fear to my fellow Mid-westerners, it was just a Meteor shower named Gamma Virginids, passing through space. It just so happens that one of them found their way into our lovely planet, and quite possibly could happen again as the shower is to run through April 21st. Not a Cloud in the Sky

Image
Sunshine is finally here!! It has been 70 and sunny in the bay area over the past week, and the northern Californians are breaking out the sun dresses and sandals; along with their light jackets of course. This weekend James and I had the pleasure to watch our friends pooch, Stella. As usual she was amazing and couldn't wait for the walks during these beautiful days. We walked for blocks admiring the city that brought us much love, great food, and fabulous friends. New restaurants have opened up that look amazing. One in which I visited recently, and the name; SPQR, is just one of the out there attributes that defines it. The food was so good in fact that I ate two en tree's. Now if that's not tasty, then I'm not quite sure what would be. There are new eclectic boutiques that I will definitely be hitting up for new obsessions I'm thriving for. Let's be honest though, every store here has a style you can't pass up. I am so, so, so, happy and thrilled to call...

Spring...Hurry up and get here!

It's a couple of month's into our rainy season here in the bay area, and I'm really ready for sunshine. As usual the weatherman declared sunshine all week, and we were lucky to see it only two days. I can't decide on whether he should be fired, or just given a demotion. I don't really think that predicting the weather should be this difficult, especially when you have all the machines to tell you what's in our forecast. Like today, for instance, it was supposed to be partly cloudly with SUN. When I arrived into the city, it was misty from the fog that was going to roll in. I know the weather in the city is always different from the weather over here in the east bay, but a little consistency would be lovely. I'm cold, and I'm tired of wet muddy paw prints that continue to cover my kitchen floor. Well, I suppose that's it for my nonsense of the day. Everyone have a lovely weekend.
