Every person serves a purpose...

Not long ago a dear girlfriend of mine said that people would enter my life and serve a purpose in the moments of need. I have to say that I'm a firm believer in her wisdom.  As all my close friends know, it wasn't long ago when I felt my world collapse right in front of me.  I had a very heavy heart, and was pretty sure that it would never feel complete, let alone full again. Well, there was the perfect person that entered my life at the perfect moment, and ended up guiding me in the direction of how to love and trust again.

There is a definite silver lining to all things in life.  It's how we chose to see them, if at all, that makes the difference.  It can be very easy to go down the path of feeling sorry for yourself, or becoming sad when events that happen in your life don't turn out as planned.  However, making the decision to rise above it and learn something from them is what can make for the better ending.  While I had hoped things with this wonderful man who was lucky enough to capture my heart, would've turned out differently, I was so fortunate to have had such a wonderful time, and amazing memories with him.  The caring will never stop, and hopefully the friendship will continue on its journey.  The silver lining was the fact that I was able to keep him as a friend.  I'm so grateful for his honesty, his openness, and his ability to allow me to see the better side of things.

I wonder what will come next! :)
